Summer Blog

I am trying something different this summer....i thought it would be easier to just do a separate blog for our family summer fun and than when school starts up i can send this blog to the printers and have our summer scrapbook all put together! Sooo, it may be boring to my fellow blogger friends, but it is primarily just a scrapbook in the making for our family! My Living In Oblivion blog will go back to primarily just being my life and I will be cancelling our Easysite, which is the family blogger and switching over to a blogger on here for our family adventures, that will be the Tag Along blog. I am also almost finished with a blog for Jorden, so anyone that wants to keep up with our soldier can do so quickly and easily!

First Saturday of Summer Vacation!

Ed got us all up and said he was taking us out to breakfast. We quickly got ready and jumped into the car!  Was not quite sure where Ed was driving us to, but Ty was playing his DS, Ryan was watching a movie, Vicki was texting and singing, so I just sat back and enjoyed the NC scenery that all looks the same :) Trees, horses, church, Trees, random cemetery plot, trees, church, trees, house, dead racoon, corn, trees, random cemetery, trees, church, dead possum, corn, horses, corn, house falling down, trees, church, tractor....and a little over an hour later we arrived at.....DENNY'S!!!!
Ed knows i worked at Dennys while in college....it was the only place i could work that worked around my school hours! My shift was 3 am to 11 am, perfect since my classes started at noon and than i had my clinicals in the hospitals from 5 to 10 pm.  Not sure when i slept...but it was the perfect place to work, the food wasn't bad either! We have NOT lived near a Denny's since 2003! Ed was visiting one of his Marines at a hospital about an hour away from here and passed one! We had wondered why there are always these Denny's commercials on TV with no Dennys, now we know why....THERE IS ONE!!! Ty and Ryan were really excited about the "ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKES!!!" They ended up eating only one plate each, but that plate had FOUR SUPER HUGE PANCAKES!!!!  They practically rolled out of there!  We all had a fabulous breakfast and now we know there is a Denny's not so far away!

Two stuffed boys!

Vicki with her GRRRRRR!

From there we went and walked the ECU campus.  They were having football camps there so we had fun watching the teams scrimaging against each other.  I reminded Vicki to stop drooling!  Hahahaha! Than we headed back home.  The kids were totally annoying each other and driving Ed and I crazy!  Ed picked a radio station playing ACDC. The kids began yelling and screaming at each other and than yelling up front to us that Dads music was making all of them angry!!! We turned it back to country music, the song was  '....What a beautiful mess I'm in....' I just started cracking up while Vicki and Ryan were still annoying the crap out of each other!! It might have been better if the song was 'Bang Your Head'.......
