I Will Just Play Dead.....Said Mr. Mouse

There are times i am not fond of being the family photographer and recording the happenings of life....but it must be done and nobody else has stepped up to the task.....So, with grim re pore i will tell this horribly, tragic, tale from the point of view of the victim, aka, Mr. Mouse

It was a typical morning...i was just minding my own business..

.....when this big hunkin' creature showed up...i told myself to remain calm, if i didn't see "IT", "IT" wouldn't see me! 

No such luck, "IT" saw me!

I assumed the poistion for the bottom sniffin'

Than  a blond "IT" appeared asking the dark "IT" what i was.  There was much discussion on exactly "WHAT" i was..... 

The paw smacking began...it hurt...

This two against one is for the birds!!  Where are the birds?!!

I decided to just play dead and see how that would work out.  Maybe a bird would fly by and distract them........where are the birds?!!!

The blond "IT" began whispering sweet nothings into the dark "ITS" ear. I thought i might be able to make my escape, but the dark "IT" wanted nothing to do with the blond "ITS" whispering

Seriously, this paw smacking thing has got to stop!  I am getting a headache!

Now, was that really necessary?  I am now dizzy along with my pounding headache! AND!!!  There is now slimy slobber on my summer coat!!! My day just keeps getting worse!

Intermission; in case you needed a break from my torture!

PLEASE let this all just be a bad dream..!!! PLEEEAAAASSSSSEEEEE!

My, that is one big tongue the "IT" has in this horrible nightmare!

It was not a dream, so i tried negotiating with the "IT"

I told the "IT" about Mrs. Mouse and our baby mice... begging to return home to my family....

After much contemplating and a few hurtful remarks the "IT" unfortunately said,

"NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!!" 

And than; there was of course, MORE paw smacking!!!  Seriously?

Oh no!!!  I ended up in "ITS" mouth, again!  I squeaked and squeaked  for mercy....

Really!!!  I am sure you can hear it in the video version.......

I begged to die in peace....

Well, it wasn't in peace, but i died...

Zumba!

Vicki and I love to go to Zumba....however i do NOT like my pictures being taken during class, especially when i DON'T even know they are being taken!  But, things always have a way of turning up on Facebook, so here are some pictures of Vicki and I at our nightly Zumba class that we totally love!

Floating Thru Summer

Just another fun day at the pool.  I just float and take a peaceful nap while my kids play.....Oh, and objects appear larger in water than they actually are!


The advantage of passing the swim test....whole deep end to ourselves!



Tomatoes Went Into Overdrive!

That "Miracle Grow" stuff is no joke!  I've had tomatoes growing like crazy!  It's been fun to just step out back and go pick them.  Love being able to eat fresh tomatoes again!  The simple joys of summer...... 

I Am The Best Cook EVER!

During dinner the other evening Ty and Ryan informed me that I was the best cook EVER!!!  They said they were sooo lucky to have me as their Mom because i make the best food EVER!!!   (They like to say the word "ever" with great intensity)  I laughed and told them thank you....in case you are wondering what my super skilled chef concoctions were.....um, a frozen cheese pizza and macaroni & cheese right out of the box! YES!  I am the best cook EVER!!!

Duty Calls Means Flowers Arrive

 Whenever the Marine Corps borrows The Dude In Cammies my favorite flowers always arrive sometime during his absense.  I love the flowers and love the fact that Mr. Hottie KNOWS my favorite flower even better!!

Nope, Not Going In....

We had a "Family Day" for Ed's work at Onslow Beach.  I asked the boys if they wanted to play in the ocean while we were there....the Family Day had water slides as well so i told the boys to wear their swim suits or atleast bring them in case they decided they wanted to get wet.  Ryan put on his swim suit but Ty insisted that he was not going to be getting wet and he had already played at the beach enough this week.  That was true, it was Friday.....i told him to atleast bring his suit in case he changed his mind.....He said he wouldn't and there was no way he was going back in the ocean.  When we were about to leave the Family Day Ryan said he wanted to go dive in the ocean real quick.  I said ok, and we walked over to the beach for him to go swim with his fishy friends. .....

He said it was really hard to swim in jeans! Really?




But it was still fun!

Turtle Nests

It is summertime, so when you walk the beaches here you will find where turtle nests have been marked and the eggs are protected.  Love it! 

Toe Licking

Boys will be boys and will forever torture each other!  Even when it means licking your little brothers toes!  EWWWW, not quite sure who is being tortured here but i would put my money on the one doing the licking!!!

Exhausted

I love how my kids look when they have fallen asleep......they look so cute and peaceful!  Ryan was exhausted after pulling an almost all nighter with Ty the previous night from watching movies, all the Karate Kids from start (the 80's ones) to finish (the one that came out 2010).  The joys of summer!

The Monthly Battle

We go thru this every month with Jasper....to fight the "Super Fleas" they have here in the south he needs to take a pill, just one pill once a month....Leah, well i don't have to do anything but put the pill by her mouth and she just eats it all up nice and quick, no mess and no complaints!  Now, Jasper on the other hand....oh my, this time it was a couple of hot dogs and i am not sure how many pieces of lunch meat later i had most of his "hammered into powder" pill inside his mouth.  Ty, Ryan, and Anthony helped hold him in place while i poured the rest of the powdery substance into his mouth and held his chompers closed until i felt enough movement of his throat that i felt it had all finished dissolving into his saliva and traveled down the throat!!!
